Houses made of glued laminated timber

The advantages of glued laminated timber are explained by the process of its production, which consists of several successive stages. Specially selected logs, as a rule, coniferous species (pine, spruce) are cut into boards. Boards are graded. Humidity 12 ± 3%. In case of discrepancy, the board is not involved in the production process. Board defects are cut off. The resulting workpieces are finger-jointed to form longer laminations which are components of glued laminated timber. Lumbers are planed and glued on a special press into a beam. The beam is profiled. Notches are cut according to project documentation.
