Modern timber frame house designs incorporate panoramic windows. The walls, in turn, are painted in light colors, while the timber beams are treated with dark varnish or paint. Any finishing material can be applied inside the house. Gypsum plasterboard or wooden cladding are most frequently used. The walls can be plastered or the original look of the finishing materials can be preserved.
